【テーマ: Spring】 The Lost Year

We are now spending The Lost Year. Especially in this spring, people probably fill in nothing on a calendar. We today have to wait out the pandemic, entertaining ourselves at home. To kill too much time, many do something new for coming days. Some start to keep a diary, exercise and study a foreign language, but almost all of the people give them up soon. Now we get bored with passing our time no matter how much we were greedy for holidays. 2 or 3 months ago, people were optimistic and thought that COVID-19 was not much of virus. (Some including me must be ashamed of what we thought.) Before something terrible happens, in fact, people are very optimistic as the history (about wars and disasters) shows. It is always a little afterwards that we find the thing terrible. In the near future, students may look over their textbook saying “The Lost Year 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.” We just believe that we are going the direction in which we think better. What is important is not to blame the COVID-19 pandemic on someone.
