My Thoughts on Environmental Preservation

Have you thought about environmental issues? Actually, I have been environmentally conscious since I am obsessed with animal videos including wild animals and I’m a member of WE DO KYOTO!, a project which was set up in order to nourish the leaders who aim to bring a decarbonized society to fruition as Kyoto has been responsible for being an environmentally-advanced city after Kyoto Protocol was adopted from COP3. One summer day, I noticed that a lot of paper clutter ended up going into the bin in my work place where we offer customers a Japanese confectionery demonstration workshop. At that time I wondered that if there is a creative way to recycle it.

To begin with, I did a little research on what other companies are working on to grapple with garbage issues. Policy of Starbucks firstly came up that aims to replace plastic with papers. To be specific, they started using paper straws instead of plastic ones. Every single information I see is about endeavours to reduce plastic garbage. I suppose this is because Sustainable Development Goals aka, SDGs encompasses the index about shedding marine plastic waste.

Apparently, a lot of paper waste is better than plastic waste. One thing I came up with was adopting reusable plastic plates instead of papers on which Japanese sweets are placed:

In addition to this, wooden sticks can be placed with reusable ones in order that they obviate the need for hewing trees down. Forests are taking a crucial role to deterrent global warming. In other words, they absorb CO2, so stopping disposal wooden sticks would eventually lead to protecting the environment. This may sound extreme a bit, but it is true that human activities are definitely the cause of devastation to the environment. Thus we should make changes from small things like those. We also have to keep that our efforts should be reasonable in any way.
In principle, paper-usage is becoming pervasive among the companies, however, I believe that it is also necessary to reduce paper waste. Since I am going to do news gathering activity to the enterprise which are environmentally friendly this summer, I hope I can write about it later on.
