【本棚をのぞく⑤】公務員試験受験生編　Let me see your bookshelf!

こんにちは。はぎもんです。今回本棚を覗かせていただいたのは、わたくしと同じゼミに所属している友人のKさんの公務員試験用の参考書が沢山詰まった本棚です。彼女の長期にわたる公務員試験の道のりを、本棚を通して教えてもらいました。公務員試験を受けようか悩んでいるひとや、何か大きな目標に向かって勉強しているひとに必見のインタビュー記事です。ご覧あれ！

K: Thank you!!

H: I was really surprised to see the massive textbooks!

K: Actually, I have more. The textbooks in the picture are parts of them but I mainly used this one. A have other three boxes because we technically have the 30 examinations!!

H: 30 examinations!?

K: Yes, they include social sciences like world history and geography. I also have to study biology, physics and chemistry. I studied 10 subjects in a day, which means that I can study 30 subjects in three days. I used 1 hour for 1 subject, so I studied 10 hours in a day.

H: They must have been tough days for you! When did you study them?

K. I started this in the spring of my third year at university. I took 6 examinations in total. It was hard to manage my schedule. It is said that it takes 1,500 hours to complete all the subjects.

K: I remember that I cried when I got a call of an offer after taking examinations and interviews.

H: You must have had a lonely battle. How did you get through this?

K: Sometimes I was devastated and I cried everyday. But I studied at home and the library. I tried to maintain myself.

H: What do you think you need to pass the examination?

K: It is the determination. You have to motivate yourself for a certain department which you want to get in. You don’t only have written examinations but also interviews to show your ambition.

K: I used to use the wallpaper picture of the website of the department that I wanted to go!

H: Really? That’s funny!:)

H: What made you to decide to take the civil servant examinations(公務員試験)?

H: Well, I thought I want to do for the civil revitalization(地方創生). It was hard to study every day but I truly wanted to go there(the department). Some people give up studying but my resolution was strong. That’s why I could pass the examinations and interviews.
